The Winchester Area Schools Orchestras have a membership of over 200 young people between 6 and 18 years old.

The aim of WASO is to give extra playing opportunities for instrumentalists in schools and sixth form colleges in Winchester and the surrounding area. The Ensembles meet on Wednesdays at Henry Beaufort School in Winchester.

The Ensembles perform regularly each term & have preformed in places such as: Thornden Hall, Winchester College, Winchester Cathedral and The Anvil. Regular residential courses take place at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest.

Playing or singing together is a great social and educational activity. WASO members are friendly, enthusiastic and committed.

Do get in contact if you would like to join us!
