Jamie grew up in Hampshire and played cornet in several Hampshire Music Service ensembles from 1998-2007. After studying trumpet at TrinityLaban conservatoire of music and dance he graduated in 2011 moving back to Hampshire to pursue a career in performing and teaching.

Jamie started working for Hampshire Music Service in 2015 as a visiting music teacher and has since taken on roles as the Director of the Winchester Areas Schools Orchestras and conductor of the concert band. Director of the Hamble Area Youth Bands and conductor.


Adam Broughton

Conductor-Winchester Youth Orchestra

Over the last twenty years, Adam has formed and developed a number of leading youth ensembles, conducting in some of the finest musical venues in the UK and abroad, and worked with various adult groups, including wind bands, orchestras and choirs. He graduated from City, University of London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2000 and completed Masters training in conducting at Surrey in 2013.

In addition to Winchester Youth Orchestra, Adam is also Director of the Hampshire County Youth Wind Ensemble for Hampshire Music Service. He is a member of the leadership team and as a player and teacher specialises in percussion, World Music and brass.

Adam supports the work of ensemble staff within Hampshire Music Service and also works with adult groups outside of work. These have included Lindon Wind Orchestra, Spectra Musica and Winchester Symphony Orchestra.


Rob Eastgate

Conductor of Wind Band

Rob grew up in South East London and spent his childhood learning music and playing in ensembles at Bird College, Sidcup. Rob moved down to Southampton and attended the University of Southampton, where gained a BA in Music with First Class Honours. Since graduating, Rob has been pursuing a career as a freelance musician and music teacher. Rob joined the Hampshire Music Service in 2021 as a visiting music teacher, and became an assistant for the Winchester Area Schools Wind Band in 2022.


Lucinda Wright

Conductor-WASYE

Lucinda grew up in Birmingham where she played the cello in various ensembles and the youth orchestra. She studied music at Goldsmiths College and then at Birmingham Conservatoire where she gained an MA in performance with Distinction and trained as an orchestral player with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Alongside working as a freelance musician, Lucinda did a PGCE in specialist string teaching at the Royal Northern College of Music. She started working for Hampshire music service in 2014 with a focus on strings, keyboard and whole class instrumental learning.
